Friend or Foe

“He that is thy friend indeed,
He will help thee in thy need:
If thou sorrow, he will weep;
If thou wake, he cannot sleep:
Thus of every grief in heart
He with thee does bear a part.
These are certain signs to know
Faithful friend from flattering foe.”

William Shakespeare.

Masters of Time

Reaching with the hands
For what only the mind can hold
You and I stood for a fleeting moment
Masters of time

Spectators of it all that is stretching for no reason
Accepting what must be, world, sky, sun, stars
We shared all, I held you, and you held me
But we cannot stay, our moment in time
Crumbles and fades

All the glory of all there is, two hearts locked together
We had it all, time gave and time takes away.
I loved you, you loved me
You were perfect, soon we will journey
Beyond all we know,

Masters of time

Letting him go.......

Getting over someone you love can be very difficult, especially if you’re not ready to let go. But if a relationship diminishes your self-worth, devalues you, or drains you in any way, then it’s probably time to end the relationship.

So may women stay in dead relationships, hoping that “somehow” things will get better. We convince ourselves that with enough love and patience we can get our partner to change. This is simply not true. Why? Because you cannot change anyone else except yourself. Once you realize that you’re in a relationship that does not serve your highest good and you’re ready to do something about it, you will do what you gotta do to let go and move on. It’s that simple.

ROMEO and JULIET

One can believe in Romeo and Juliet as the greatest romance in literature, but let’s face it who wants to wind up dead? So I am not looking for ROMEO, nor do I want to be JULIET.

The Rope

Every year the rope gets thinner
nothing of my own doing
nature takes its course
life hanging by a rope
I am the rope time is the knife
cutting without me knowing
there I stood hanging by a thread
where all the years have gone?
time can only continue
we cannot waste it, we have no choice
but to hang by that thread and hope
that time can be blunt and slow

Winter land

Drop by drop the magic potion
Creeps into our thoughts
From far away
Melting away our cares
Weaving its ancient spells
Tinsel, trees, baubles, lights
Turkey, pudding, sweets, gifts
A river of life pours into a winter wasteland
Grim faces soften under its illusions
As we remember how we were
How we want to be
The promise of paradise
Descends into our tarnished world
And briefly, briefly we fly
On the wings of hope
Childhood restored to its throne
The grey men in grey suits cast down
Imagination takes over and the battle is suspended
Dreams of Christmas past renewed in Christmas present
Life relaxes its relentless march
Progress is stilled
Christmas is here
We have arrived
Hovering so gently
The promise is delivered
Another Christmas
Restores us as we remember
The story of salvation
And love.

My Ant

An angel he is not!
He eats and eats
faster than a goat
but his name is Ant

Curious each morning
he wakes up at dawn
and feast with milk and oats
and occasionally with ham

When talking about his condition
people asks and asks
if he has a special reason
an interest a rant

I stopped and think of the things he does
and what he enjoys and makes him be
as I think a grin cheek to cheek appears
as I show the special powers of my son
” He does not like numbers”
” he cannot read or write”
” he does not like work”
“or put things in lines”
” He loves to make disorder! “On that he takes special pride!”
“He likes to wear his clothes in certain order they’re better inside out”
of all these things something special, he demonstrates the best”
After a little thought "he is a magician!” with any doubt I say
captivating interest my audience sure displays
awaiting for my words, awaiting for me to explain
” a magician” I continue describing him at best
he will make with absolute precision
DIRT appear from NO WHERE
