Autumn

AUTUMN

Before I loved you
Nothing belonged to me
I walked not knowing where
Nothing had value or name
The world belong to the air.

I met myself in ashy rooms
Tunnels habited by the moon
Airport corridors with crude farewells
Deserted lands with infertile places
Beaches with insisting questions
Written on their sandy edges
Cliffs calling, luring, persistent
Every minute of my existence
I did not know how to say no

Everything seemed empty
Falling, abandoned, decadent
Everything was inalienable, foreign
Everything was no one’s or some else’s
Everything was silent, dying and mute.
Then, you arrived, giving, loving, caring
Making your presence so current, so present
Filling my eyes with colours and smiles
Giving my thirsty spirit a drink
Giving my soul a chance, my heart a life,
And giving me hope in my autumn time.
